This one seemed appropriate for Halloween. We’ve all got to go off the edge of the map sometime. What we find there are the stories that shape who we are and what we will become.

Halloween is always very inspiring to me. I am still trying to decide which monster to write about for this week (I’ve been doing one creature a week until Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them comes out.)

I’ve always been really fond of banshees. I feel like they don’t get too much representation in books or media. The only time I’ve read of them in a book was (I think) the Lightning Thief series where they were benevolent, but harbingers of death. I always thought that representation was super creepy, but very cool.
